Boßeln – The Cult Sport
Boßeln takes place on car-free roads winding through fields, forests, and open countryside. First, two or more groups are formed, with each group taking turns throwing a Boßeln ball. In the classic version of the game, two teams compete against each other. Each thrower begins their turn from the spot where their teammate’s previous throw landed.
The goal is to complete the designated course in as few throws as possible; the team that requires the fewest throws wins. A handcart stocked with drinks is an essential part of the game, providing refreshment during play and serving as a source of “aim-enhancing spirits” along the way.
At the end, the winning team can proudly display their certificates.

Jungle-Safari

Walsrode Museum Railway
Join us on a journey back to the era of our grandparents. Locomotives built between 1894 and 1954 haul the carriages along a 600 mm narrow-gauge track.
